Marketing Director - Fixed – Term Contract
AniCura is looking for a Marketing Director for the Operating Unit (OU), including Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia/Czech Republic, Andorra and Romania.
The Marketing Director is a strategic member of the Operating Unit (OU) Leadership Team (LT), acting as the primary link between the OU and the Central Client function. Reporting directly to the OU VP, with a functional dotted line to the Client VP, the role ensures strong alignment between regional business priorities and the broader Client and Marketing strategy.
As a Strategic Business Partner to the OU, the Marketing Director drives sustainable growth from a Client perspective across B2B and B2C segments, spanning primary and referral care. The role champions a client-centric culture, identifies high-impact growth and recovery opportunities, and ensures scalable, centralized solutions are leveraged to maximize efficiency and performance across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership & Growth
Serve as a core member of the OU Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and business performance discussions.
Act as the strategic Client Business Partner to the OU VP and AODs (Area Operations Directors), ensuring client and marketing levers are embedded in the OU growth strategy.
Identify regional growth and recovery opportunities across B2B and B2C segments, partnering with Central Client teams to design scalable and impactful solutions.
Translate client insights into commercial actions that drive revenue, retention, and market positioning.
Client Agenda & Initiative Deployment
Lead the roll-out and adoption of Client strategic initiatives within the OU, ensuring alignment with Central priorities.
Drive execution discipline and ensure measurable impact of client programs at regional level.
Support the transformation of Marketing towards a centralized operating model, enabling the OU to shift from low-impact local activities to scalable, high-impact initiatives.
Guide OU stakeholders in leveraging central tools, campaigns, and frameworks to maximize efficiency and ROI.
Voice of the Client & Customer Experience
Champion the voice of the client across the OU, embedding a strong client-centric culture.
Leverage Client dashboards, NPS insights, and customer data to identify performance drivers and pain points.
Develop and execute action plans to improve Customer Experience and overall satisfaction in collaboration with the Central CX team.
Ensure customer feedback translates into tangible operational improvements and business outcomes.
Performance Alignment & Governance
Provide a monthly recap of Client and Marketing performance, strategic initiatives, and impact to the OU Leadership Team.
Establish a structured feedback loop between the OU and Central Client function, highlighting results, risks, and additional support required.
Brief and aligning Central teams on regional needs, ensuring resources and capabilities are directed to highest-impact priorities.
Monitor and report on client-related KPIs to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
Education & Professional
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (required)
· Experience in trade marketing and managing regional marketing, translating global strategies to local executions
· Master’s degree (MBA or similar) is a plus but not required
Knowledge / Experience
· 5–7 years of experience in marketing, ideally within multi-site, consumer-facing or healthcare/service industries
· Proven ability to manage local initiatives from planning to execution, with a strong focus on ROI and conversion
· Experience working with cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and customer care
· Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, CRM systems, and local activation strategies
· Comfortable with data interpretation and using insights to shape campaigns Experience in matrixed or franchise-style organizations is beneficial
· Fluency in local language(s); English proficiency is required
